Friday Night
Shoe Strings – A co-ed program offered to kids ages 9-12 only
on Friday nights. This program encourages kids to interact
with other kids from other communities throughout the Metroplex.
During this 1 1/2 hour event, our staff creates a wholesome
environment from which to teach fundamental skills, play friendly,
competitive games and have fun. Our staff closes each evening
with a light five-minute devotion. Families are encouraged
to bring a pair of shoe strings, which we donate to the Lena
Pope Home children. We encourage parents to stay and watch
their child during this event. Parents may also drop their
child off, but return promptly in time for their child to be
picked up.

Community Outreach – A program
designed to meet specific needs of any particular community.
Through this program, we
partner with other communities and their efforts to bring about
a positive life enriching change, based on the needs of the
kids, family and community. Building Believers takes pride
in working with other communities. We prefer to work with communities
who have an active director or leader present. We want to know
exactly what it is that we can do to help. Although we extend
our services to others, we try to teach others how to effectively
implement the programs that we know will have an impact in
their community. Before we can travel, we must have a signed,
written contract in hand detailing our agreement. During community
events such as this, we don’t mind working with large
groups whatever the age, grade or gender as long as we have
the space needed to accommodate the large numbers. This would
need to be discussed prior to the event.
